Congratulations to the Fulbright Program on 75 years of building friendships across borders to make the world more peaceful!

Ways that you can contribute locally and nationally to the next 75 years of the Fulbright Program’s growth:

    • Assist your Kansas City Chapter in planning programs such as a speaker series, art performance, poetry reading or film discussion. We need your ideas, energy and help!
    • Become actively engaged in the leadership of our chapter;
    • Volunteer for Fulbright in the Classroom (FIC) to share your stories and knowledge in K-12 and college classrooms across Kansas and Missouri, focusing on under-represented communities. Keep an eye out for a new FIC grant program and a call for volunteers;
    • Participate regularly in Advocacy, where you’ll share you experiences with members of Congress, ensuring the future of Fulbright;
      • Sign a petition and/or send a letter to the new Congress, making sure they hear the many voices of Fulbrighters from every district and state;
    • Encourage your Fulbrighter friends to become members of the Kansas City Chapter of the Fulbright Association—we need their support to power our programs and mission;
    • Attend the Fulbright Association Annual Conference, TEDxFulbrightFulbright Prize, and regular Fulbright Forums (webinars on international issues) to learn and connect.
      • Propose and give a presentation, panel and/or poster at the Fulbright Association’s Annual Conference.
    • Follow our Kansas City Chapter on social media where you’ll find stories and photos throughout the year.

Our mission is to continue and extend the Fulbright tradition of education, advocacy and service.
